Dermatohistology and Histography
Treatment process
Dermatohistology
Dermatohistology deals with the microscopic (histological) image of the skin and its changes. In dermatology, a clear diagnosis without a skin biopsy (skin sample) and histological examination is rarely possible. Sometimes, multiple histological examinations from various body sites and different stages of the disease progression are necessary. A histological diagnosis typically provides clarity for the patient and the treating physician.
Histography
In histography, the removed skin including the removed skin tumor is processed histologically in three dimensions to ensure the complete removal of the diseased skin while simultaneously preserving the healthy skin.
